How To Make Awesome Asian Salad Recipe

Asian salad is often known as a simple dish in daily meals, so you can make it whenever you want. 

Besides, they are a good choice for people who are following a healthy diet or want to maintain a balanced weight without getting bored. Furthermore, salads are also suitable for vegetarians.

1. Chicken And Banana Blossom Salad

If you prefer chicken meat than other meat such as pork, beef or goat, you can try to make an Asian salad with chicken.  

Ingredients 

  • 1 chicken 
  • 500g banana flower  
  • 2 carrots 
  • 200g laksa leaves 
  • 200g basil leaves 
  • 1 onion 
  • 50g dried onion  
  • 50g minced chili  
  • 50g crushed peanuts 
  • 200ml lemon juice 
  • Other spices: Salt, sugar, pepper, salt and seasoning 

Instructions 

Step 1: Preliminarily Process Chicken  

First, you rub the chicken with salt on both sides and wash carefully twice. Then, you put the whole chicken into a pot and boil it in 20 minutes. 

Please remember to turn the heat down after 10 minutes so that the chicken meat will be delicious and cooked evenly. 

After that, you take the chicken out to cool and use your fingers to tear the chicken into small pieces. Then you marinate the chicken meat with pepper, seasoning, and salt. 

Step 2: Prepare Vegetables And Other Spices 

You wash all of the vegetables and drain them. Then, you prepare a water bowl mixed with lemon juice. 

For banana blossoms, you will put the layers of it on each other and roll them tightly. Then, you slice banana blossoms very thin and soak them into the lemon juice. 

Next, you will grate carrots into the smallest pieces and marinate them with 2 spoons of sugar and 1 spoon of lemon juice. 

Later, you cut onions into slices and also marinate them with 2 spoons of sugar and 1 spoon of lemon juice. 

For laksa and basil leaves, you will chop them into small pieces.

It exactly is the salad dressing. 

Step 3: Prepare The Salad Dressing 

For mixing the salad dressing, you will add 3 spoons of salt, 2 spoons of sugar into 250ml water and boil it. When the salad dressing cools, you can add lemon juice and minced chili pepper into it. 

If you like the taste of fat, you can add 2 tablespoons of chicken broth to the salad dressing. 

Step 4: Mix The Salad 

First, you add the salad dressing to the shredded chicken in a large bowl, mix them, and leave for 5 minutes. After that, you add banana blossoms, carrots, onions, laksa leaf, and basil into the bowl and mix them again. 

Finally, you arrange the Asian salad on a plate and don’t forget to sprinkle with crushed peanuts and dried onions. Let’s enjoy the Asian salad with chicken and banana blossom right now.

Ingredients 

  • 1 green papaya 
  • 300g shrimp 
  • 300g bacon 
  • 2 carrots 
  • 1 onion 
  • 200g laksa leaves 
  • 200g basil leaves 
  • 1 garlic
  • 50g spring onions 
  • 50g minced chilies 
  • 50g roasted peanuts 
  • 200ml lemon juice 
  • Some fried shrimp chips 
  • Other spices: Sugar, pepper, and fish sauce

Instructions 

Step 1: Preliminarily Process Materials 

First, you wash the shrimp and all of the vegetables carefully and drain them. Then, you prepare a cold water bowl mixed with lemon juice.

You peel and grate the papaya into long strands by a large-size grater. And you soak the papaya in the cold water bowl so that it does not turn black. For carrots, you also peel and grate them like the papaya. 

Next, you grate onions. Then, you chop laksa and basil leaves into small pieces. 

Finally, you boil the bacon in 15 minutes and the shrimp in 7 minutes respectively. Then you chop the bacon into small strands. 

Step 2: Prepare The Salad Dressing 

You add sugar, fish sauce, minced garlic, minced chili and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Then, you mix the mixture evenly. 

Step 3: Mix The Shrimp And Papaya Salad 

First, you mix the bacon and shrimp with a tablespoon of the salad dressing and leave it for 5 minutes. 

Then, you add the papaya, the carrots, the onions, and the mixture of bacon and shrimp in a big bowl. Let’s mix all of them. 

Now you can arrange the salad on a plate and sprinkle with roasted peanut and herb leaves. Don’t forget to eat the salad with shrimp chips.

3. Lotus Root Salad

Ingredients 

  • 200g fresh lotus roots
  • 1 carrot 
  • 500g white cabbages 
  • 2 fresh chilies 
  • 1 garlic 
  • 50g crushed peanuts 
  • 200g aromatic herbs 
  • 50g dried onions 
  • 200ml lemon juice 
  • Other spices: Sugar, pepper, and salt 

Instructions 

Step 1: Preliminarily Process Materials 

First of all, you wash all of the vegetables carefully and drain them. Then, you cut lotus roots into 4cm roots. Next, you peel carrots and white cabbages and grate all of them into small pieces.  

After that, you mince the fresh chilies and the garlic as small as possible. 

For the aromatic herbs, you soak in water for about 10 minutes, drain it and chop all of them. 

Step 2: Prepare The Salad Dressing 

You add 3 tablespoons of salt, 3 tablespoons of boiled water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 spoons of pepper with minced garlic and minced chili into a bowl.  

Then you mix the mixture of the salad dressing evenly and taste to adjust it accordingly. 

Step 3: Mix The Lotus Root Salad 

First, you mix the lotus roots, grated carrots, grated white cabbage, and aromatic herbs. Then, you add the salad dressing into the mixture and mix all of them evenly. 

After that, you can arrange the lotus root on a plate and sprinkle with crushed peanuts and dried onions. Let’s enjoy it.

#1. Spinach, Carrot and Apple Juice

As you may know, carrot and apple give you the sweet and savory taste, which can hide the flavor of spinach. However, after juicing, you will have a little bit of pulp that needs to be strained and separated from the juice. Thus, this work takes much time to do, but it's even less healthy when making juice this way. Why? The pulp above contains a bit of nutrition and much fiber. If you throw it, you mean throwing all the essential fiber in the vegetables and fruit. Things need to be prepared: 5 spinach leaves, one apple, one carrot, cinnamon (if you’d like). First, you need to wash these vegetables with clean water and let it dry for a few minutes. Then, crush the spinach leaves, carrot, and apple into pieces and put all into the juicer. Add some more water, start the machine and wait until the mix is soft and juicy. Finally, strain the juice for a smooth drink and add some cinnamon for flavoring.

Cucumber and Kiwi juice Honestly, this is my favorite one, and I bet you will like it for the first time trying. This juice has the savory smell of cucumber and sweetness, the sourness of kiwi. However, you can also taste chilly and salty from the crushed ginger, which makes this mix unique and special. Here are what you will need: 4 kiwis, two cucumbers, half of the ginger, sprouts. As usual, peel cut kiwi and cucumbers into pieces after washing the fruit with clean water. Then, blend the ice and water before putting those fruits into the machine. Keep blending for 1 minute with high speed, then pour the mix into a glass and decorate with sprouts. Though it’s much like a smoothie if you put more ice, this is still a delicious green juice.

#3. Kale and Celery Juice

If you’d like a pure green breakfast juice, this mix is a great choice: celery, kale, cucumber, and parsley. Well, when trying this juice purely, I felt a bit difficult to drink, and I guess you will feel it, too. Thus, I suggest adding some slices of pineapple for sweet flavor, which makes it easy to taste. Here are what you will need: 1 celery stalk, five kale leaves, one cucumber, two sprigs of parsley, and a few pieces of pineapple. Chop the vegetables roughly into pieces as small as you can for easy juicing. When finishing, strain the juice from the pulp, or you can serve instantly for a good fiber supplement.

#4. Cabbage, cucumber and mango juice

Honestly, this is the easiest and favorite mix for those who like a sweet drink. Mango is an essential supplement for the mix as it sweetens the flavor, while cucumber smells delicious and savory. Let’s see what we have. 1/4 cabbage, three sprigs of parsley, two spinach leaves, one cucumber, and one mango. Sound simple, doesn’t it? Yes, it does. As these vegetables have much water, you only need a bit of clean water when juicing the mix. But before juicing, you need to slice the ingredients roughly into small pieces. We suggest you should drink all the pulp as this contains much fiber, which is the most essential part of fruit and vegetables.

#5. Cabbage and Lemon Juice

Cabbage is now not a difficult thing to eat or drink as it combines with lemon. This mix doesn’t require many ingredients, either. What do you need? Simple drink as cabbage and lemon juice One cabbage, a handful of mint leaves, one tablespoon honey, a squeeze of lemon. That’s all. How to do with this mix? You will mostly deal with the cabbage as this is the primary ingredient. First, peel the cabbage gently to get leaves. Then, wash them with clean water and let them dry.
