Aromatherapy, Anyone?

littleearthing @ Instagram

So I woke up this morning to whole slew of spam comments on my various blogs. But the one that really caught my eye started out:

Cure Hemorrhoids with Aromatherapy!

Um, I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like reading the words hemorrhoid and aroma-anything in the same sentence. Especially first thing in the morning.

And since I already mentioned unmentionables I’ll mention a some more. The other day Hezekiah had to miss his Cub Scout pack meeting (we’re under voluntary seclusion trying to keep Apollo healthy for surgery). To ease the pain a bit we let him choose a movie to watch and he chose Winnie the Pooh. Apollo watched and enjoyed part of if. And now he keeps coming up to me and saying, “Poop Bear, Mama? Poop Bear?” because he wants to watch it again. It is hilarious because he is absolutely consistent in adding the extra sound. Don’t you wonder what exacatly goes through kids’ heads?

I spent this morning with my favorite dentist. Yep. Because that bracket he replaced Monday came loose. Arg. If it can go wrong with my teeth, it will.

Well, the blog is officially switched over now. Does it look the same to you? One of several reasons I switched was ads appearing on the bottom that I couldn’t see (thus had no idea were there). Ads will eventually appear on the sidebar again (like on my old blog). I have worked with Lijit provided ad space for over a year and they have always been great about removing anything I deemed offensive.

Oh, and one more cool thing. See that Blog Frog Community tab? I’ve embedded the community right into the blog. The reason for this is to have an easy platform to have ongoing discussions. If a hot topic arises, or you have a question, it will be a great place for us to have a conversation without having to go back and forth in the comments. If you’re not already a member, go ahead and join, I think it will help this blog be a bit more interactive.

A few more tweaks here and there and I’ll be able to call it good.

Oh the Things they Say {Mama’s Sister and the Fulgurites}

I’ve mentioned before what a big talker Apollo is. Well, several times recently I’ve asked him, “are you Mama’s boy?” and “are you Mama’s baby?” Usually he’ll repeat “Mama’s boy” or “Mama’s baby” to me. So cute.

Well the other day he asked for “hot chocolate” his name for the dark chocolate he eats (one of the few dairy free sweets he can have). The name is a bit ironic in and of itself since  we keep in the fridge, so it’s technically “cold chocolate”. But I digress.

Adalia gave him a piece of chocolate and I said, “Is Adalia your favorite sister?” and he answered, “No, Mama’s sister!” and snuggled up with me. So for the last few days he’s been snuggling with me and saying, “Mama’s sister”.

I told Adalia I’ve always wanted a sister…I just hoped she’d be female…and not my son.

A week or so ago Tucker was playing in the living room and hollered, Mo-om, Avi’s using her magic powers to knock my tower down!

*sigh*

And speaking of arguing…yesterday I heard Hezekiah yell, “Stop calling us fulgurites!”

And in other news, I finally got a Waldorf doll assembled for Apollo. We’ve been gently talking to him about going to hospital, how the doctors are going to fix his heart so he can eat and breathe. So while he was snuggling with his new “baby” I asked him, “Are you going to take your baby with you when you go to the hospital?” to which he responded, “No! Baby wa-wa park!” Poor little guy, any time we mention the hospital he insists he’s going back to Great Wolf Lodge.

And yes, I did just  tell Avi not to put knitting needles in her nose…
