Sticky Ribs Recipe

This photo is actually of pulled pork sandwiches, but I thought you might get a kick out of seeing a bit of dinner at our house. And what you can’t see are the rest of the sandwiches piled on the other side of the platter. My children all consume huge quantities of food. Jubilee (6) ate a sandwich and a half, and asked for more (too bad they were all gone).

Sticky Ribs (adapted from Fix, Freeze, Feast)

1 tray (about 9 pounds) boneless country style ribs

divide ribs into three gallon size freezer bags

In each bag pour:

3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon mince garlic

Seal and freeze.

To cook this I thaw and place in my crockpot, then cook on low all day. About 30 minutes before serving shred the pork (in the crockpot),  turn to high, add water and cornstarch to thicken.  Once it is thickened, we put this over rice. It ends up being a thick, meaty sauce.
