Our once-a-week homeschool get-together days have quickly become the highlight of my week.

From long hikes, to short hikes, from making applesauce to dissecting lamb hearts, meeting with friends and watching our children grow learn is the best part of my week.

Just before I left (I’m behind with our weekly homeschool updates!) I hosted fun homeschool game day party. As you know, I love throwing themed parties and what better theme then GAMES?Host a fun homeschool game day party with Goliath Games!

This party was so simple and easy to throw! I purchased basic party supplies (plates, napkins, table cloths) in fun colors. Before the kids arrived I put out all the games and got them ready to play.

Our homeschool game day games included:

Pop the Pig

Doggie Doo

Catch the Fox

Shark Bite

and my favorite, Giggle Wiggle.

I think the best part of the party (for me, anyway) was coming up with fun game-themed foods. I let the games lead the way for this.

Once our guests arrived, we set the free and let them PLAY! We adults just stood back and watched. There was no reason to intervene and the kids had a great time going from game to game.

All of these games were fun and each had its own challenges.

Pop the Pig is a game full of suspense. Kids feed the pig mini hamburgers and push down his head and watch his belly grow bigger. When the pig gets full he POPS. Kids love waiting to see how many burgers pig can eat and whether or not he will pop on their turn. This game is great for teaching numbers, colors, and counting.

Doggie Doo is a game pretty much any kid is going to love. You feed the dog little pellets, pump his leash, and wait for him to poop. All while he makes lovely noises from his rear end. If you are the one who cleans up his mess you get a “fart token”. The player with the most farts wins!

Giggle Wiggle was my personal favorite (not that anyone is asking).

Each player chooses a color. The object is to play your colored balls on his hands starting from the bottom and moving to the top. Sounds easy right? It is.

Until he starts wiggling trying to knock the balls off.

This game is for 2-4 players ages 4 and up.

Shark Bite Kids roll the die to see if they will be catching one or two sea creatures. They use their little fishing poles to hook and remove them from the shark’s mouth. But watch out! Eventually, Mr. Shark will SNAP and bite one of the players.

Catch the Fox is busy stealing the chickens and putting them in his pants! Don’t worry, once he gets too many his pants will fall down and kids will be able to gather up all the chickens and return them to their coop. First player to fill his chicken coop wins!

Party Throwing Pro Tip:

Invite friends with cute babies. Cute babies make everyone’s day better!

And of course, Milton was in attendance at our party, chowing down on anything he could get in his mouth.

As you can see the kids had an amazing time. As the days are cooler and wetter we will be doing more and more of our weekly get-togethers indoors.
