Baptism {Judah, Kalina and Jubilee}

Before..

After!

Sunday was an exciting day in our house, as three of our children were baptized. Baptism in our church is something we do because it was commanded by Jesus (Matt 28:19). We do not believe that it regenerates (gives new life, or forgives sin). It is a public statement of faith in Christ. Our children are not compelled to be baptized. For each one it has been their own decision.

Before being baptized, Judah took a few moment to talk about his faith and why he wanted to be baptized. We were very proud of him. We’ve seen a lot of maturity in him over the past year.

Kalina also chose to talk about her desire to be baptized.

And Jubilee? She was excited, but very , very nervous. She chose not to speak at all.

Definitely an exciting day in our house, to see three of our children take this step. Both sets of grandparents were in attendance, as well as some our family’s best friends. We celebrated afterward with a barbecue on a beautiful sunny day.
