MOD Pizza With Mom

posted in: Large Family, Uncategorized | 4

Yesterday my mom wanted to take me, Adalia, Tilly, and Kalina out to lunch (some would argue that I am already out to lunch. But not my mom…she loves me). Unfortunately, Kalina and Tilly were both working so it was just a happy threesome that ended up at MOD Pizza.

Again. Visiting Mod Pizza with mom. What can I say? I'm a bit obsessed.

In my defense:

  1. I love pizza. It is on my list of top 5 favorite foods. And when you can create (or mod) your own pizza….and don’t have to bake it yourself. Well, that’s pretty much the definition of paradise right there. Throw in some coffee and alpaca yarn and I’d never even need to leave.

2. My mom has some dietary restrictions and has to avoid 17,348 different foods. Including tomatoes.

Luckily for her, Mod Pizza has a delicious garlic rub she selected in place of red sauce.

*yum*

Let us zoom in on those amazing pizzas, just a bit…

Ah, yes.

My mom had garlic rub base, olives, artichoke hearts, and ham.

Adalia had jalapeno peppers, mushrooms, roasted garlic, and spicy Italian sausage.

And mine?

Pepperoni, garlic, green peppers, kalamata olives.

Hot, cheesy, melty, oozy, goodness.

I’m obviously a bad influence on my mom.

Once I started taking pics of our lunch, she whipped out her phone.

Hey, Mom! No social media during lunch.

*sheesh*

And I apparently have not pictures of Adalia since she was sitting next to me instead of next to me.

Oops.

How about you? What are your favorite pizza toppings? Anything unusual? Or do you do classic, like me?

  1. Artichoke and gorgonzola on a very thin, very crispy crust. Yum!! A little spinach, too, and naturally mountains of garlic.

  2. Looks amazing! Wish I could get some delivered to rural Zambia… instead I’m going to try and make home made lemon meringue pie with plain flour instead of cornflour. Not sure if it’ll work!

    • Isn’t that the worst? When you can’t even *make* your favorite foods because you can’t find the ingredients. Good luck with the meringue!
