Canvas Factory Giveaway

I’ve said it before and I will say it again over and over: Print Your Photos!

Digital photos are amazing, but photos deserve to be printed too. Twice this year I have had clients call me close to tears because they lost their digital photos. Not only do we need to print our favorite photos to preserve them, but so they can be enjoyed!

Don’t worry, I practice what I preach.

I make photo books each year, and I have several photo walls in my living room. I also have a variety of canvases and mounted photos throughout my house. Yeah, we pretty much have photos everywhere. In fact, the only decorations we have our photos.

Today I’m going to make it just a little bit easier for one of you to put photos of your wall. The owner of Canvas Factory was kind enough to let me try out their services and offered a FREE 16×20 canvas to one of you readers. *

*US and Canadian Residents only

Canvas Factory canvas are a great way to display your favorite photos.

Long-time readers will probably recognize this image. It is one of my all-time favorite photos of Apollo.

The ordering process from Canvas Factory is quick and easy. I had my photo uploaded and ordered in less than ten minutes. The canvas was at my door just a little over a week. It came packaged in a cardboard box, with the canvas itself sealed in plastic. The box was dented in a few places, but the canvas was packed well with the corners protected (see below).

There are two things I am really picky about when it comes to ordering canvases:

I want the corners to be pulled good and tight and

I want the image to wrap around the edge (some canvases have a black edge instead of having the wraparound style).

The Canvas Factory met my standards on both of these. You can see how tightly the corners are folded. Because I chose an image with a black background you can’t actually appreciate the the wraparound edge as you would in a different photo, but it is there.

The Canvas Factory Canvases come ready to hang with a sawtooth piece already in place on the back.

Canvas Factory canvas are a great way to display your favorite photos.

I couldn’t quite capture it in a photo, but there is a slight bit of (purplish) coloring around Apollo’s stomach just to the left of the g-tube. You have to really be examining the photo to see it. I have no problem loving this canvas and hanging it in my living room, but the coloring would certainly stop me from giving it to a client. This is my only complaint about the canvas.

This canvas makes a beautiful addition to our home. Apollo is so proud of the photo and I am happy to finally have one of my favorite images on display in our home!

If you would like to enter to win a FREE 16×20 canvas from Canvas Factory just leave a comment telling me which photo you would like on a canvas and why. I will randomly draw a winner in one week.

  1. I love this idea! I, too, have a lot of photos in my house (one of the reasons I was drawn to your blog is all the pictures…the variety is awesome). My oldest left for college this year, but we took a family vacation this summer and got an awesome shot of the 5 of us together, I would love to have a large canvas to hang with all of us. Even if I don’t get picked, I will check out Canvas Factory….

  2. I would love to post our new family picture on the wal of all 18 of us!!

  3. Alyssa Thiessen

I would love to print a canvas of our 3 children. We have some canvases up on our walls and I’d love to have another!

  4. I would print a landscape taken in Glacier National Park. My mother is in her late 60’s, she and I spent two weeks minus kids and husbands rambling through Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Canada last summer. It was a wonderful vacation and probably our last due to my father’s ill health. I have some fabulous pictures and even better memories.

  5. A photo of my children and parents take just a few weeks ago – my Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s over a year ago, since that time we have been intentional in making memories, not so much for Mom but for my small children who are 8, 8 & 5.

  6. I have one, exactly ONE, really clear photo of all of my kids, dressed nicely, smiling naturally and all looking at the camera. You know what a miracle a photo like that is! I would love to have it printed.

  7. I have been so badly wanting to try ordering a canvas! Jusy hasn’t made it to the top of the budget list, yet. I have a black and white of my youngest daughter from about 5 years ago that is my first choice!

  8. Stephanie Mazzon

I would print an older photo of my two boys at the beach. They have little suntans…wonky teeth…..and white tshirts on! They are big now ( ages 20 and 16) and that is still one of my very favorite photos.

  9. Chloe Snyder

I would print a picture of me, my husband and our wedding party. It’s been two years and we still haven’t gotten those things printed! But there is a beautiful shot of all of us that I definitely want to have on canvas.

  10. i have a picture of my dad (90) and me (70) I have wanted to have it printed to put on canvas…but never have followed thru.
I know he won’t be with me much longer, so at some point it will be printed and put in my bed room.
It was taken a couple years ago when he was not suffering as he is today…so the appearance on his face is more relaxed. My dad has dementia and is deaf, so communicating has not been easy the last few years.

It makes me sad but he does know who I am–praise God.

  11. I would print a picture of my 2 youngest children meeting their 3 brothers when were arrived home from Moscow with them !

  16. Barbara S.

I would want a new family photo on the canvas. Our oldest family photo was when I weighed 80 more pounds.

  17. I have visited another company’s website many times in order to purchase a canvas but haven’t quite been able to commit. I’ll check this company out. I’d like to put a pic from the baby’s newborn shoot on a canvas in her room. Then I plan to line one hall with a senior pic of each of the girls. Do you have a recommendation for best size? I have a hard time deciding just how big to go.

I would get a canvas of the last family picture taken before my 24yr old daughter’s death April 11th, 2014. While we have added new members through birth (3 grandkids including 1 that was born 2 weeks after Katie’s death) and marriage no family photo feels complete without Katie in it.

Katie was an amazing girl who was a youth leader, children’s worship leader, great friend, great sister and a precious daughter who seemed to know when to show up with a Starbucks to bless her momma:-) Katie had Beta Thalassemia and received a blood transfusion every 3 weeks in order to survive. She would get terrific bone pain the week before a transfusion but she never let that stop her. She once wrote a report that said, “thalassemia is a big part of my body but a small part of my life”. While we rejoice that she is with Jesus there isn’t a day, an hour or very many minutes when my heart and arms don’t ache to hold her one more time.

What a great idea! I’ve got a few neat pictures of our kids at the beach that I would choose from.

  20. This is so exciting because I want to do a canvas for my dad for Christmas. We live 1500 miles away from him & try to visit a couple of times a year. Over the past 2 years he has had various health problems that have kept him from being as active as he normally is but our visit this summer was absolutely perfect. He has finally recovered from a knee replacement, back surgery & heart attack within a 3 week time span & we were able to take my daughter fishing for the first time since she was a toddler.

My dad saved for years to buy a little fishing boat & he is so proud of it. We took it out on my birthday & after putting them in the water & parking the truck, I was walking down to the boat & snapped the most lovely picture of the 2 of them. He & my daughter had been ragging me all week because I kept taking pictures but he actually teared up when I showed him this one & he asked me to get it printed out for him. It’s just the most perfect picture to me & it embodies everything that I love about my sweet, generous, hard working daddy. It was simply a perfect day & I’ll never forget it. I would love to have his 2 favorite pictures from that day put on a canvas for him.

  28. I hope I’m not too late! There’s a picture of my son in the snow last winter that I would love to see on canvas. As I get more into photography, I needed this reminder to print some of those pictures. Thanks!

  29. Never ordered a canvas, but always wanted to try it. Always have a hard time choosing though. I have some photos of my kids alone that I love, but I don’t feel like I can get a canvas of just one kid. I’d probably print a picture of all the kids together in their Easter clothes from earlier this year.

  30. I would love a picture of my 2 kids and the dog on canvass.

  31. I think I would get either a family photo or a photo from a backpacking trip.

  36. I have a photo I snapped of my daughter doing a cartwheel on the edge of the surf with the sun setting behind her. It captures perfectly her zest and energy for life, and I would love to see it hanging in my living room.

  37. I just took a picture that truly captures my 9-month-old son’s personality. He is an ever similing little guy and in this pic he is compeltly flirting with the camera and is flashing his trademark grin.
