Notice anything special about his shirt?
{And because someone will ask, it is this shirt from Cafe Press. Cafe Press is also where I have ordered his cute heart shirts.}
And can you believe how healthy Apollo looks?

This was Apollo six months ago, on March 6th, 2012. Can you believe how filled out he is now and how much healthier he looks? Ah, the miracle of modern medicine. Between breathing better post-surgery and finally getting adequate nutrition through is g-tube, he’s like a new boy. Not fixed, exactly, but so much better.
Since seeing the results of his swallow study and upper GI we are very conscious about having him drink after every bite or two of food. It is so much of his routine now that when his cousin Elli (1-year-old) was visiting he was “teaching” her to eat. He’d go over to her in her high chair and tell her to take a drink after each bite. This morning when I coughed at the table he said, “You choking mom, take a drink.”
Okay, the kids just got on the school bus and the rest of us are off to the beach. Have a great day!

I don’t comment much, but wanted you to know that Apollo is always in my prayers. He looks awesome!
How do the kids who go to school feel about their siblings going to the beach? I am sure it is educational, but visiting the beach is better than being in school I would imagine.
I didn’t tell them ahead of time, for fear that I would have a few stubborn kids who didn’t want to get on the bus! The kids were a bit disappointed when they came home, but nothing too major.
He looks great, Renee! Praise the Lord
. Love the shirts! Must know though – where did you get his cute vest, stripey shirt, hat and shoe outfit for Apollo’s “first day of school” photos? Tooooo cute!
The striped shirt is Carters. It’s a onesie (keeps his tube contained) and came in a four pack. The vest and hat came from Children’s Place.
I’ve been noticing from your photos how much healthier his hair looks. I hadn’t really ever thought it looked unhealthy, but it looks really healthy now. I know that as kids get older their hair thickens, etc. But I’m guessing it’s probably more than that with Apollo.
Erin- I agree, his hair does look healthier, that’s something I’ve specifically noticed too. It’s so much more than him putting on weight. He had “failure to thrive” which is an apt description of him six months ago. Now he is finally looking like a kid who is “thriving”.
Cutest 2 year old ever! Still praying. Hugs
He is so cute!
I love the last picture! It looks like he’s saying “HOORAY for feeling better!!!”
Cute pictures! He looks wonderful!
Is it just me, or does Apollo look a little like Avi?
Well, we often say he got his curly hair from her!
