LEGO organization part one is in full swing over here. I spent my morning sorting, sorting and more sorting, with a variety of children in and out. This was my sons' idea, not mine, so I hope it will stick. I purchased two five drawer bins last night and we are sorting by the main colors, a drawer for mini figures, and I'm not sure what else, since we haven't gotten that far yet.
The majority of these LEGO came this summer when we purchased about 40 pounds of LEGO from a friend's son. He is in middle school with new interests, and was willing to sell his entire collection of LEGO for a hundred bucks. I'll keep you posted on how the organizing goes and how well the boys keep the system up.
In other news, Apollo is doing great during the day, napping and doesn't seem like he's in any pain. Nights, however, are a different story. He has slept less each night he has been home. He can't get comfortable and won't sleep in his crib, in our bed, or being held (upright or lying down). Last night he didn't even sleep for a two hour stretch. Today I am giving him Tylenol and Advil hoping to reduce any swelling or pain so we have a better night.

Those are the exact same drawers that we have!
Those LEGOS! You are brave..we just locked up the Trio, Legos, blocks,Jenga, Clipo, Link and logs..They were just getting everywhere..They now have to ask for them. Right now my 6 yr old has only asked for the TRIO daily for 2 weeks.
As for Apollo. I would def alternate and overlap if necessary the Tylenol and Motrin. I see this in the hospital after surgery where the pts wont take any pain meds all day and then after an active day they are in alot of pain in the eve(when I am there) and have a rough night trying to play “catch up” with the pain meds. I am sure he is still sore, but the days activities are distracting enough for him and at night when he is tired and restless it really becomes an issue.
hang in there. Sounds so rough. Praying for you!
Hi, I am from Australia and read your blog daily. I love to hear about your day as a large family.
On Apollo, I am currently going through something similar as an adult in my 30′s.
Have you tried keep Apollo off all dairy PLUS ALL acidic foods….no oranges, no tomatoes etc….
As I mentioned I am in my 30′s have always been under weight, never slept properly and constantly feel like I something was caught in my throat. It;s not painful, just like someone is slightly pressing on it making it uncomfortable.
Other than that I am completely healthy, just never feel properly rested or enjoy eating.
After numerous tests, put on a gluten free, wheat free and dairy free diet I only improved slightly. I have been told I have a narrow throat.
I wasn’t until the last few weeks where I have cut out ALL foods that could be affecting my stomach that I have started to notice a difference.
My doctor has put me on a 40 day “diet” where I only eat bland foods… GF crackers, rice, bananas etc… take antacids each day and sleep with a pillow under the head of my mattress so I don’t sleep flat.
FInally after two weeks in I am feeling better each day. Excessive acid in my stomach was causing my oesophagus to be inflamed and caused pain in my stomach, chest, throat etc… and my constant waking in the night.
Just a thought, not saying this is it or something you should try. It’s just your explanation of Apollo’s symptoms sounded so close to what I have been going through for years.
Good luck
