Um, would someone mind explaining to me how a person who once lived inside my body is now several inches taller than me? And a whole lot stronger?
Aww…Judah at 17 months. See, he used to be a lot smaller!
This is the first sweater I ever knit by the way. It was also the first item I ever knit. A bit of an ambitious first project, I suppose, but I finished it!
Oh, and does someone also want to tell me where Judah's blonde hair went?
*sigh*
In order to get the photo of Judah, I had to take a picture of his bionicle. So I may as well include it here too. I can see it now. Renee Bergeron: specializing in professional LEGO portraits.
And speaking of brown eyed boys, here's another one.
You don't think he'll ever grow bigger than me, do you?
{By the way, the size of Apollo's Keen sandals was the source of several comments yesterday. The Keen sizing is just odd. When I asked for size 4 the salesperson brought me a pair large enough to fit Mordecai (never mind we were holding Apollo). The baby sizes all have a "T" after them. So while the size was 4T it was just baby-size 4, not like the sizing at, say, Old Navy. Those would be huge feet! Most of our babies' first pair of shoes have been size 3, but Keens do run small and I want them to fit a while. As far as price, I plan to sell the shoes on ebay when he outgrows them (assuming they're in good shape) and will invest the money in new shoes. I actually waited until I had the cash from the consignment store (for items he outgrew) to buy the shoes. Think of it as recycling

My older son’s first keens were also the 4t we got red. They look brand new on 25 month old son (Apollo mustn’t have teeny tiny feet!). I’m so happy we got red because I suspect they will be in great shape for a 3rd baby too and red will be fine for a girl. We camo in a bigger size…I didn’t think that one through.
Heather, weird about the size. Apollo just outgrew his two Robeez 6-12 months shoes and the next size up are still too big for him and we have some size 5 baby shoes that are WAY too big for him…maybe the guy helping with the shoes was just mixed up about sizing.
I was wondering about that shoe size….his feet looked ‘normal’ to me.
Yes, Keens……after finding out what my daughter paid for her son’s first pair, I jumped at the gently used pair at the Goodwill for $3.99 in a size he will most likely wear next summer.
She also will sell his on ebay when he soon outgrows them.
